HMGE Agency is proud to announce the signing of ZÜ — a Kuala Lumpur-based DJ whose sound operates at the intersection of bass music and cultural memory, and one of the most inventive selectors in Southeast Asia.
Specialising in jungle, DnB, UK garage, reggae and dub, ZÜ builds sets that are simultaneously global and distinctly Malaysian — blending nostalgic Malay pop, cartoon samples and movie quotes into a bass-driven experience unlike anything else in the KL scene. Her approach is rooted in Jamaican sound system culture: community, energy, and the belief that a room full of people can be taken anywhere if it feels right.
ZÜ arrived with proof of concept already in place. Her viral reel mixing gamelan chimes over 'Tokyo Drift' reached 253,000 views on Instagram — without paid promotion, without a major label, and without compromising what makes her sound unique. That clip alone brought her to the attention of Juice Malaysia, who featured her in a full editorial under the headline "Deep Cuts & Deeper Bass: Inside Zü's KL Sound."
She has also been featured by Malaya Roll — Malaysia's leading independent underground music publication — further cementing her position at the forefront of KL's electronic music movement. Upcoming festival appearances include SoundCircus and Art of Speed.
